The US had just suffered its first-ever military defeat in Vietnam. The CIA was doing what they could to slow the up to 35,000 Cuban troops in South Africa. The American President not looking for another Vietnam, ordered the CIA out of South Africa. At the end of our pullout from South Africa, there were three Americans left behind, Jim’s best friend Carson being one of the three. Jim would attempt to buy Carson’s freedom or free him by any means. Jim enlists several friends to assist. One such friend is Jim’s Cuban friend Ralph. Ralph’s father was a surviving member of the Brigade of 1400 from the ill-fated Bay of Pigs invasion. Jim’s small brave bunch gets help along their way, what started out as two was now 53 brave men. The attempted rescue had a surprise ending that more than pleased the Bay of Pigs survivors.
